Advantages:
1. I really like the scares and the pacing. For such a short experience it was pretty scary. The first ones didn't get me but each time the scare was a bit better. Near the end I got scared and thus this game deserved an additional point in the "advantages" section).
2. I really liked the ambiance of the cabin. The style of the game looked cartoonish and very appealing. Nonetheless, the snowman looked scary. Also, I liked the storytelling through the environment (a melted snowman, hats, and blood here and there). Very cool!
Disadvantages:
1. There is a reason people are wondering about the different ending. It would be cool if one would actually exist. People are wondering cuz something doesn't feel right about the current ending. I get that the game was developed in a short period of time but you could add a very simple secret ending of leaving the cabin before starting to investigate (with an epilogue or something like that, for example). It would make the game instantly more interesting!
2. I guess the mere key hunting mechanic is a bit boring. But considering how fast this game was made, it can be forgiven) It's just nice to see original mechanics and ideas in these small indie games as they usually let the game stand out.
Overall:
I rate this experience 4/5 stars. I think it's a great game especially considering that it was made in 2 days! But the lack of other (even the most simple) ending and boring mechanics don't really let me give the game the perfect rating. Still, I think that it was great and I can't wait to see more games from you especially in the horror genre!
this is my first time downloading anything from itch.io, after unzipping, i couldn't run the YGJam.exe file, i could only open it. can anybody help me with this?
Great little experience. The scares managed to get me multiple times, loved the atmosphere, and although I didn't understand the ending at first, I think I finally got it after watching it back!
Was a super great looking and nice game! The twist at the end was super funny (for me at least) and it was a fun short game to play. Not sure if there was another ending, but the smol snowman was spooky. Loved the creepy and desolate atmosphere as well!

Classic spooky horror game, and it had a christmas vibe so that's an extra 10 points LOL! The game wasn't very unique but is worth the 5 minutes of gameplay! Keep up the good work dude!(3rd Game)
I really liked this game! As soon as you got me with that first jumpscare, the whole atmosphere changed 😂 I wish there was another ending though (There probably was I just didn't find it). But overall, nice game!
Pretty neat little game, at first I didn't realize that it was the end, would be better if it was a bit obvious cause I still don't understand what's the point of the "gift box" in the end.

As long as it is still in the file you unzipped from, you should be able to just double click it to run

This game looked very nice. The story and scary part is very cheesy (which is nice) and kinda cheap but that is kind of part of its design.
